Jaime Canuto is a Third-Degree Black Belt, also known as the Armbar Machine, and is the Main Instructor and Co-Owner of JC School of Jiu-Jitsu. When Jaime was a teenager, he was active in many sports including competitive surfing. At 13 years of age, Jaime wanted to try something different and ventured into a local Jiu-Jitsu school and never looked back. Master Julio Cesar Pereira promoted him to Blackbelt after winning the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (IBJJF) World Championship as a Brown Belt and beating the heavily favored Ben Henderson (Former UFC Champion). Since that time Jaime has cemented himself as one of the best middleweight Jiu-Jitsu practitioners in the World.
Jaime moved to Belton, Texas to open his own school and raise his young family. Belton, Texas was the perfect place for Jaime and his family because it is a small rural town that reminds him of his home. Jaime’s goal is to share his theoretical and practical Jiu-Jitsu knowledge with each student that walks through the door with the goal of improving physical and mental health, coaching and mentoring, and building competitors capable of winning at the highest levels.
